    1. Literature is the articulation of thoughts and emotions into the written word incorporated in poetry, novels, history, biography, and essays.

    2. We study literature to understand the human condition and how other people use language to express their thoughts and insights.

    3. We evaluate writing style and format, rhyme schemes or lack thereof, the author's tone and voice, the subject that the work focuses on, and by the discussion over meaning and the beauty to be found inside each written work.

    1. What is literature? Literature is something that is composed and can be read/listened to.

    2. Why do you study literature? We study literature to learn and to be provided with entertainment. Particularly, to learn about our culture and to become better writers,speakers,and readers.

    3. How do we study literature? We study literature by reading/listening to/and observing it. We then discuss it with the intent of expanding our minds with the exposure to new views.
